OSHC News (7th October 2009) 

Welcome back.  I hope you all had a restful break and are ready for the last term for the year.

WE DID IT!!!! OSHC has been accredited!!!!

After hours and hours of paper work all the hard work has paid off.

Thank you to Mrs Fehlberg for her continuing support and thank you also to my wonderful staff Jen and Karen for helping me.  As they say we passed with flying colors!!

We will be reviewing our policies and parent handbook in November and I will put them up on the OSHC notice board for parents to look at and make suggestions.

REMINDERS

Invoices are sent out on a Monday and PAYMENT IN FULL is required by Friday of the same week.  Your child’s care may be suspended if full payment is not made within 2 weeks.

If you are late picking up your child from school and they are still in the playground at 3.45pm, the teacher on yard duty will bring your child into OSHC.  Even if you have not booked your child into care and they have been brought in you will be charged for the full session, even if you pick them up at 4pm.

 

OSHC News (9th September 2009) 

This week in after school care we have been making mosaic patterns out of paper. They will be displayed on our wall by the end of the week, please come in and have a look.

Our worm farm is going very well. The worms are growing into nice fat worms for producing lovely soil for the plants around the school.

REMINDERS

Please remember to cancel/make bookings before 12 midday. This is important for the smooth operation of B.S.C and A.S.C.

Invoices are sent out every Monday morning and PAYMENT IN FULL is to be paid by the Friday of that week. The payments that come into the program pays for staff wages, supplies such as equipment and art supplies and our weekly food supplies for BSC and ASC. Without these payments the program will not be able to run. As stated in our policy if your invoice is not paid within 7 days your child’s care may be compromised. If you are having problems please see me.

After school care hours are from 3.30pm to 6pm. If you are late picking up your child a $1.00 per minute late fee will apply. You will see this on your next invoice if you are late.

 

OSHC News (26th August 2009) 

I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate all the children in OSHC who participated in our song at the concert.  You all worked hard at practicing our song, morning and night, and you all did a fantastic job. WELL DONE! Thank you to all the parents who made sure their children were dressed for the part.

REMINDERS

As stated in our policy, all invoices are to be paid in full on a weekly basis.  If you are having problems, please speak to me and we can arrange an installment plan.  If you would like your invoices sent by e-mail, please provide me with your e-mail address.

Please make sure all your emergency contact details are up to date.  If you have new phone numbers, please make sure you update your enrolment forms and also notify the office of any changes.  If I need to contact you I need current phone numbers.

 

OSHC News (12th August 2009)

As you are aware OSHC children will be doing a song for the school concert.  I will need the children to wear certain clothes on the night.

PLEASE NOTE—IF YOUR CHILD HAS NOT GOT THE ABOVE CLOTHING PLEASE DON’T BUY ANYTHING AND THEY CAN WEAR WHAT YOU HAVE AT HOME.

Our validation visit for our accreditation was last week and the person  spent several days with me reviewing our program.  It all seemed to go very well and we are waiting for the decision to see if our program has been accredited. Thank you to Mrs Fehlberg, Jen and Karen for their support throughout this process.

 REMINDERS

Bookings/Cancellations are to be made before 12 Noon on the day.  If you do not cancel you will be charged for the session. If you try and make a booking after 12 noon you may not be able to book your child into OSHC.

 

OSHC News (29th July 2009)

Dear Parents and Caregivers

I’m sure you are aware of all the singing and dancing coming from the Multi-Purpose Room. The children have been practising for the School Concert.  Thank you to those children who haven’t been booked in but have come to practise after school. 

Reminders

Please cancel and make bookings before 12 noon.  If you fail to do this you will be charged for the session or not guarantee a spot in the program.

All invoices are given out on a Monday. Payment is required by the Friday of that week.  There are still some families who have outstanding invoices.  Outstanding invoices will compromise your child’s place in OSHC.  If you are having problems paying your invoices, please see me and we can arrange a payment plan.  This Policy is in the OSHC Parent Handbook.  If you require a copy please see me or Irene/Sandy in the office.

 

OSHC News (15th July 2009)

Welcome back and I hope everybody had a wonderful break.

This week in after school care we have been making a book on our favorite activity we did in the holidays. It will be on display in my room so come and have a look at the wonderful artwork.

We have two new children in our program this week. We welcome Ben and Se-Ah. Thank you to all the children who have made these children feel welcomed in OSHC.

Thank you to Maisy and Jasmine who have been wonderful helpers with the afternoon tea. Both girls do a wonderful job.

Reminders

Bookings/ cancellations are to be made by 12 NOON. You can ring me on the OSHC Mobile on 0434 637 943.

Invoices are sent out weekly on a Monday morning and payment is required by the following Friday.

Late pick-ups will incur a $1.00 per minute late fee.

Attention to all Parents/Caregivers

Term 2 is coming to an end and all payments are to be paid in full by Thursday the 25th June 2009.

If you do not finalise your account you may not be able to use the program next term.

Payment is strictly 7 days from the day you get your invoice, unless prior arrangements have been made.

Dear Parents and Caregivers

 We all had a wonderful time on Curriculum Day. The children really enjoyed the movie and had lots of fun at Phoenix Park.  Thank you to my assistants Karen and Jen.

 Reminders

Please ensure that all bookings and cancellations are in prior to 12 midday.  End of Term is fast approaching, all invoices must be up to date by Thursday 25th June 2009. When making bookings or cancellations, please make sure you ring the OSHC Number which is 0434 637 943.  Telephone bookings are to be made between the hours of 7am and 6pm.  After these hours please SMS.  No phone calls will be accepted out of these hours.

OSHC News (3rd June 2009)

We are still working very hard on our little town using recycled materials.

If you have any great ideas please feel free to come in and share them.

 

We have finished our barn and thank you to Jessica N for her wonderful effort in finishing it.

We are making a poster on good foods to eat. It will be displayed by the end of the week.

Thank you to Max and Maisy E for the lovely toys they bought from home. If any families are doing a clean up please feel free to bring in toys/ books etc.

 

 

 

 

ATTENTION—AFTER SCHOOL CARE CHANGE OF BOOKING/CANCELLATION TIME

 Management and staff have decided to make the cancelling and booking time, for After School Care, 12 midday.  The reason for this change is to enable us to have ample time to hire additional staff if the need arises.  Most aftercare programs have a cut-off point at 9am.

 

To avoid disappointment, please ensure that all bookings and cancellations for After Care are done prior to 12 midday.  If you do not cancel before this time you will be charged for the session.  This will come into effect today (27th May 2009).  Any queries, see Kerry.
