When we were looking
at the science toys it felt
like we were just playing,
but we were learning at
the same time.
Mia

Chloe and Valentina produced this Newspaper by using the SunShine e Library on the computer.
We used the keyboard to type the words and we used our brains because we had to get the words correct. We needed to edit it a few times to get the words right. When it was finished we were very happy because when we tried publishing another day it didn't work.
We are very impressed with our work.

Kidz Bodz in 1 /2 K - What we learnt
Chloe: Did you know that your stomach can stretch to the size of a mini football?
Mia: Did you know that the oesophagus is a tube that goes down your throat?
Connie: Did you know that when you chew, food gets mixed up with saliva?
Rhys: Did you know that your stomach is the size of your fist?
Sasha: Did you know that food travels down your oesophagus and it is pushed down when you swallow?
Yezee: Did you know that your small intestine is as small as your pointer finger?
Maya: Did you know that your tummies can crunch the food up in 20 seconds?
Isabella: Did you know that sweets don’t give you much energy because the energy from sweets doesn’t last long?
Thomas: Did you know that “ Go Go Go Food” is fruit and vegies? It’s called “go go food” because it gives you lots of energy that last a l long time.
James: Did you know that it’s good to have carrots, a banana, an apple, and a healthy sandwich for lunch?
Chloe: Did you know that it’s good to drink 6 – 8 glasses of water a day or about 2 litres? That’s a lot of water! I have my drink bottle of water on my desk every day!
Sankaran: Did you know that you should have 5 tablespoons of vegetables every day? I found that out because I went on the Kidz Bodz internet last night site at home.
Valentina? Did you know your stomach moves your food every 3 – 5 hours! The energy from the food goes to your legs to help us run.
Sadi: Did you know that if you eat lots of healthy food, you get lots of energy – enough to play for the whole of recess and lunch time?
Angelica: Did you know that if you eat too much junk food you can get a stomach ache and it makes you feel drunk?
Bronte: Did you know that “Go Go Slow” food is not that good for you? That’s because it doesn’t give you that much energy that last for a long time.
Huon: Did you know that there is food acid in your stomach? If you accidently swallow a lolly without chewing it or sucking it, the stomach acids will dissolve the lolly. (My mum told me that bit.) I was amazed that even a tiny bit of food acid can make a little hole in your shoe.
Robert: Go Go Slow foods are usually made in factories and often all the good stuff is taken out of the food? That’s why we should eat lots of fresh food like apples and bananas and fresh vegetables.
In 1 /2 K we have our bottles of water on our tables every day so that we can drink water whenever we need to and we can eat fresh fruit in class after lunch as well.
