Welcome back for term 3! This term, our intergrated topic is Now and Then. We have some interesting things to discover.
We also have the school production coming up this term and we are getting busy and tuning up our singing voices.
We are getting organised for our excursion to Rippon Lea Mansion where we will find out about how people lived in the olden days.

At the start of our new Inquiry unit, we look at what we already know, what we want to learn and how we should learn it. This makes the learning meaningful. This is also a stepping stone to our Wonder Wall where each child comes up with a question that they can research throughout the course of the unit.

Every Wenesday, Grade 1/2B and 1/2K switch around into Grade 1 and Grade 2 classes to do some spelling. This week, grade one has been working on "nt" sounds. They collated this whole list by themselves. We will use this list in our classroom. Next time we're doing writing and get a bit confused with our "nt" words, we can just check the list!
In maths, we have been using MAB to learn about place value. This website helps us learn more about trading MAB and counting in ones, tens, hundreds and even thousands.
We made a Wordle on all of the things we have learnt about during our Kidz Bodz sessions. This week's challenge sounds like our trickiest! But we are all looking forward to our Healthy food party nexy week and receiving our pedometers.
